Dice roller

Roll up to six dice and see the total.

Updated

Dice1

Total: 6

Tap Roll, or press Space.

How it works

  • Choose how many dice to roll, from 1 to 6, then tap Roll.
  • Each die lands on 1 to 6, and the total of all dice is shown under them.
  • The dice tumble and bounce with a rattle and landing sound. Use Sound off for quiet play; reduced-motion settings skip the tumble.
  • Your last rolls are listed, so nobody can argue about what came up.
  • The roll uses your browser’s secure random numbers, so every face has the same chance: 1 in 6.

Good for

  • Ludo: one die. A 6 brings a piece out and rolls again.
  • Board games that use two dice: set it to 2 and use the total.
  • Dice games and classroom maths: up to 6 dice at once.

Questions

  • Is this dice roller fair? Yes. Each die uses your browser’s secure random number generator, so every face from 1 to 6 has the same 1 in 6 chance.
  • How many dice can I roll? From 1 to 6 at once. The total is added up for you.
  • What are the odds of rolling a 6? 1 in 6 for one die (about 17%). With two dice, the chance that at least one shows a 6 is 11 in 36 (about 31%).
  • Does it work on a phone? Yes, on any phone, tablet or computer, in the browser. Nothing to install.
