1. Data that stays on your phone
Your scores, levels, streak, badges, coins and settings are saved only on your device. We can’t see them, and they are deleted when you uninstall the app.
2. Our websites
- Progress Game progress and best scores are saved in your browser’s own storage on your device (no cookies, no account). Clearing your browser data deletes them.
- Offline play The games website keeps a copy of its own files in your browser so the games work without internet. These are game files only, no personal data.
- Hosting Our websites are served by hosting providers (such as Cloudflare), which process your IP address and basic request data to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks, under their own policies, e.g. the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Ads The websites show no ads yet. If that changes, this page will say which ad partner is used and what it collects, and ask for consent where the law requires it.
3. Advertising in the app (Google AdMob)
The app is free because it shows ads. Ads in the app are provided by Google AdMob, which may collect:
- Device advertising ID (IDFA on iPhone, Advertising ID on Android): showing and measuring ads
- Approximate location (from your IP address): showing ads that fit your region
- Ad interactions (ads seen and tapped): showing and measuring ads
- Crash and performance data of the ads keeping ads working
Google handles this data under its own policy: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses data from apps that use its services.
4. Crash reports (Sentry)
When the app or the games website breaks, it sends a crash report to our bug-tracking service, Sentry, so we can fix the problem. A report holds:
- The error, and which game was open finding the bug
- The last steps before the crash (screens opened, buttons tapped): repeating the bug
- Device model, system and browser version, time of the crash knowing which devices are affected
A report has no name, email, account or advertising ID, and none of your scores or progress. Sentry sees your IP address when the report arrives. A report made offline waits on your device and is sent when the internet is back. Sentry handles this data under the Sentry Privacy Policy.
5. Usage statistics (PostHog)
To know which games people enjoy and what to build next, the app and the games website send anonymous usage events to our statistics service, PostHog:
- Screens opened; games started and finished (which game, mode, difficulty, won or lost): knowing which games are played
- Help used (hint, undo, continue) and whether a video was watched: balancing the games
- A random ID created on your device counting players and how often they come back, without knowing who they are
- Device type, system and browser version, screen size, language and time zone and, on the games website, the page that linked you to it: knowing which devices to support
- Approximate location (country and city, from your IP address): knowing where the games are played
No name, email, account, advertising ID or score is sent, and we don’t record your screen or your taps. PostHog sees your IP address when the events arrive. On the games website, clearing your browser data deletes the random ID; in the app, uninstalling does. PostHog handles this data under the PostHog Privacy Policy.
6. Your choices
- Consent In the European Economic Area, the UK and places where the law requires it, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown.
- iPhone The app asks whether it may track you (App Tracking Transparency). If you say no, ads are not personalised. You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Watching a video ad is always your choice (for a hint, an undo or a continue).
7. Things that only happen when you choose them
- Reminders If you turn them on, the app schedules reminders on your phone. They are created on the device; nothing is sent to us.
- Sharing When you tap Share, your phone’s own share sheet opens, and you choose what to send and to whom.
- Feedback If you email us, we receive your email address and message, and use them only to reply.
- Game ideas If you send us a game idea, we receive your name, email and idea, and use them to read it, reply to you and credit you if we build it.
8. Children
The games are family-friendly, but the app is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data sale and sharing
We don’t sell personal data. We don’t receive the data AdMob collects in a form that identifies you. Crash reports and usage statistics are used only to fix and improve the games, never for ads.
10. Security and retention
Data sent to Google, Sentry and PostHog is encrypted in transit. Crash reports are deleted within 90 days; usage statistics are kept only as long as we need them to improve the games. Game data on your phone is kept until you uninstall the app. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer you; game ideas are kept as long as we may build them.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
