Playing a puzzle and checking a grid are different tasks

Open PaperFox Sudoku when you want a new game to play. Open our Sudoku solver when you already have a grid and need to check whether it is valid, has no solution or has more than one solution. The solver is a separate tool, not a move-by-move teacher.

For learning, use our original worked examples to practise singles, then the notes guide to track candidates. A correct final grid is less useful for learning than understanding why your next number is forced.

Check the game’s limits before starting

Our game uses a three-heart mistake limit: a wrong number costs a heart, and losing all three ends the puzzle. If you prefer an unrestricted workspace, read the rules before choosing it for a difficult puzzle.

Our browser game needs a connection to load. For installed offline play, Sudoku is part of the 22-game Android collection. It does not import another service’s streak, saved grid or account.

Questions

  • Does PaperFox have Killer Sudoku or printables? Not currently. Our Sudoku game is classic 9×9, and we do not publish a printable puzzle library.
  • Can I enter a puzzle from elsewhere? Yes, in the separate Sudoku solver. You enter the givens yourself; it does not connect to or import an account from another service.
